BNSF Intermodal 2025 Memorial Day Operating Plan

This year, the Memorial Day holiday falls on Monday, May 26. The number of trains operating on BNSF track is typically lower over the Memorial Day holiday due to reduced freight volume. BNSF's Intermodal holiday operating plan will adjust operations to account for this potential reduction in traffic. As a result, shipments from Saturday, May 24, through Tuesday, May 27, may experience delays of approximately 24 hours. Connecting carriers who have reduced operations for the holiday may cause delays on interline traffic.

For interactive tracing 365 days a year, please use BNSF’s Tracing web tool by logging into the BNSF Customer Portal with your username and password and selecting the Trace tab on the Home page. If you have questions regarding a shipment(s), please utilize the Message Us feature on the BNSF Customer Portal (must be registered/logged in to access) or contact BNSF Customer Support at 1-888-428-2673.
 
Customer Support will maintain a limited staff on Memorial Day. Normal coverage will resume on Tuesday, May 27.
